Dorothy “Dot” L. Dalton
Get to Know Dot
· Born and raised in eastern Ohio into a Christian family.
· Graduated with a BS in Mathematics from Ohio University.
· Started career in computer science working in New York City.
· Married U.S. Naval Officer and moved to Virginia.
· Career as Government employee with U.S. information systems command. After 12 years left as a GS-14 Program Manager.
· Director of Customer Support for a Computer Software company.
· Retired as a computer consultant after 33 years in the computer field, with much travel.
· Founder and former President of non-profit IMPACT SUFFOLK founded in 1995, with activities such as: Monthly city-wide prayer, many Thanksgiving food give-a-way, several March for Jesus, 3 city-wide dramas “Heaven’s Gates & Hell’s Flames”, Sing-A-Rama’s, Tent and city wide Crusade’s, Youth “Summer Slam” for a 1000, Youth Battle of the Bands, Street Parties, Co-Sponsor of the Power Team into area schools, brought 40 Ukraine orphans into Suffolk and other area churches.
· Former Coordinator for Eastern Virginia Lydia intercessory prayer network.
· Former State of Virginia Coordinator for Native American Resource Network (NARN) working with eight Virginia State recognized tribes.
· Former President of the Board for a Nansemond Indian non-profit project called Mattanock Town. Also facilitator of the project for 13 years.
· Co-Founder of Virginia Prayer Network, praying for governmental leaders in Richmond for over 20 years.
· Former Advisory Board member of a local community bank
· Researched, compiled, and published in 2021 a book “Rekindle Virginia, The Flames of Revival”.
· Organized and chaired a 3 day area-wide tent revival in October 2021, with many churches and ministries involved.
· Founded Rekindle Virginia in 2022, and now President.
· Commissioned a “General “in Rekindle Virginia prayer army of City War Rooms along with Esther McMichael, with Regions of “Circles of Fire”, and city and county War Rooms.
